Alsace Wine Route (Route Des Vins) in France: The Ultimate One Day Itinerary

We stumbled on the Alsace Wine Route, or La Route des Vins, while looking for a weekend trip from Stuttgart, Germany, where I was working for the week. The Alsace region of France has quickly become one of my favorite places, maybe in all of Europe? Let me show you why... The Alsace region lies ...

KUANG SI FALLS IN LUANG PRABANG, LAOS 💦 What KUANG SI FALLS IN LUANG PRABANG, LAOS 💦
What you need to know to visit without the crowds 👇🏼
1️⃣ Be there at or around opening time (8AM). It will be colder in the mornings, so most people plan to come in the afternoon.
2️⃣ It takes around an hour to get there by tuktuk/car from downtown Luang Prabang, so make sure to arrange transportation with your hotel the night before.
3️⃣ Once you arrive, there is a ticketing area, and then an electric golf car that will drive you a short way to the village where the waterfalls are located.
4️⃣ You’ll walk a short way through the village with lovely ladies out selling snacks and small crafts (we did some shopping after 😍) and once you reach the waterfall entrance there will be a paved path to the left or steps/paths near to the water of the lower falls.
5️⃣ ‼️You want to take the paved path straight up to the top waterfall first! This is where all the people will congregate first, so you will want to see it first thing.
6️⃣ Then you can take the steps down the falls along the water, where you can actually access some of the lower pools and falls. There won’t be anyone around because people all congregate up at the top falls till about 10 or 11am.
Other Kuang Si falls tips:
🇱🇦 Make sure to bring/wear your swim suit as you can swim at some of the falls (not the top falls though)
🇱🇦 However make sure to wear a cover up or bring a change of clothes (there are restrooms around to use) as you are asked not to walk through the village in your swimsuit.
🇱🇦 Bring a snack or pack a lunch! There are a ton of picnic tables around to use, and taking a break after exploring the falls was really peaceful.
🇱🇦 During rainy season, the falls will be heavy and more brown color due to sediments coming through the water. We visited in late December and we’re still able to see the pretty turquoise color of the falls. The best months to visit are December through May!

Curious about how content creators make money onli Curious about how content creators make money online?
I always was! So I’m going to break down the income streams for you.
My favorite ways to generate income while traveling are PASSIVE, meaning you put the work in upfront, and get to enjoy the benefits later for years to come. It’s a sort of “set it and forget it” strategy.
However, I started my blog in 2017 when we were living abroad in Germany, and didn’t make a single penny until 2020. This is when I finally signed up for Google Adsense. All that to say PASSIVE income does not equal IMMEDIATE income.
Note: Google Adsense is the beginner advertising platform that’s good for starting out and getting comfortable with ads on your website, but switch to a better platform as soon as possible.
My favorite passive income strategy is affiliate marketing because you don’t need a large following (or website viewers) to make money. Simply understand your audiences needs and recommend to them products you are already using and love. For example, I recommend tours and hotel stays for the places that I have traveled.
Follow along for part 2 to learn more about active income streams!
